To locate recalls, visit the website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and enter your Vehicle Identification Number into the Safety Issues & Recalls lookup tool. You can perform the same search via VIN on the Safercar website or in the iOS or Android Safercar mobile app. If your vehicle registration is current, the manufacturer issues a recall automatically, either directly to you or through your related distribution chain.
