Because most powertrains have remained unchanged, the Silverado 1500 can still haul upwards of 2,200 pounds and tow about 9,800 pounds. But since the 3.0-liter turbodiesel has been upgraded, it can now tow around 13,300 pounds.
The Silverado 1500 has been outfitted with several new technologies for this year's model. This pickup will now use Google technology, allowing for simple button presses or voice commands. Drivers can also send texts, change audio sources, or alter climate control using their voices. Amazon Alexa also comes installed.
