The 2025 Tahoe from Chevrolet is a full-size SUV with a mammoth amount of interior space that's ready to haul a big family. What's new for 2025?

The new Tahoe will sport an understated styling upgrade for 2025 and the dashboard will feature a huge infotainment touch screen along with an 11.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Chevy's V8 engine choices will remain unchanged but the available diesel six-cylinder engine will get a power bump up to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The Tahow will add some new towing features that include a system to monitor the health of the trailer's tires. The suspension system has been upgraded to give you more comfort and air springs are now offered on the RST trim in addition to the Z71 and High Country models.

Engines and performance options

2025 Tahoe models will come with a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower or a 6.2-liter V8 with 420 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive comes standard and all-wheel drive is an available upgrade. The optional 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel engine delivers 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque. The off-road capable Tahoe Z71 trim is equipped with a two-speed transfer case that delivers four-wheel drive along with 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires and underbody protection.

The Z71 is available with an air spring suspension system that lets you raise or lower the ride height of the new Chevy Tahoe, a strategy that will help when you're taking on off-road obstacles. Amazingly enough, the 2025 Chevy Tahoe will have a maximum towing capacity of 8400 pounds, which is almost as much as some full-size pickups. That towing capacity is available with rear-wheel drive versions and the 5.3-liter V8.

Interior highlights

The full-size Chevy Tahoe has a massive interior with far more space than you'll find in mid-size SUVs. The Tahoe comes with three rows and second-row seats that slide back and forth to provide more flexibility for adults to sit comfortably in the third row. There's a wide center console with enough space for smartphones, wallets and keys as well as a big storage bin located under the center armrest where you can fit a small backpack. Higher-level trims allow you to include options like second-row captain's chairs, a power rear liftgate and a power-adjustable steering column. The top-tier High Country model gives you genuine leather upholstery and you'll have up to 123 cubic feet of cargo space.

Technology

Every Chevy Tahoe model for 2025 will come with an enormous 17.7-inch infotainment touch screen that's angled toward the driver to allow easier access to navigation, radio and phone functions. Other standard features include smartphone connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless device charging. The Tahoe also offers an available Bose premium stereo and a rear seat entertainment system with two displays mounted in back of the front seats.
